Tuition

At Mini Mozarts, we provide a range of options for children and adults at all stages of musical ability. We will cater for your learning needs, whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced musician. We offer private lessons in a range of instruments and genres, group masterclasses, thorough exam preparation and a range of ensembles and bands for our students to join. We will keep you progressing through the different levels of tuition so you are always learning, improving and working towards achieving your musical potential.

Private Tuition

Private tuition forms the basis of our teaching at Mini Mozarts, as we are firm believers in the educational benefits of one-on-one music tuition. We offer lessons in guitar, bass, piano, drums, violin, ukulele, saxophone, clarinet, flute, singing and music theory.

Master Classes

At various times we run group masterclasses and workshops in areas that suit a group approach; for example, music theory classes. Keep an eye on our Events page to see what’s on.

Adult Tuition

It’s never too late to start learning music! Maybe you’ve always wanted to be able to play your favourite Beatles song, or there’s a special someone you want to serenade on Valentine’s Day. Perhaps you’ve recently retired and finally have time to do something for yourself, or maybe you used to play an instrument years ago and want to get back into it. Whatever your motivation and musical dreams are, we can make them happen.

Special Needs Tuition

Our teaching style at Mini Mozarts is flexible and inclusive, and with our team of experienced teachers we can personalise our lessons to suit the needs of any child or adult.

Casual Tuition

We understand that you may not want to commit to a full term of lessons. That’s no problem! We can arrange lessons to suit your availability and desired level of commitment, whether it’s one-off lessons or occasional sessions to fit your schedule.

Exams

We pride ourselves in preparing our students thoroughly, so they can approach their music exams with confidence. We cater for exams under AMEB, ANZCA and other examination boards, and our students consistently receive excellent results.

Ensembles

We encourage our students to make music with their peers by participating in our guitar ensembles. As well as being fun, working with other musicians fosters teamwork, and cooperation and develops discipline and communications skills. Our ensembles perform regularly at schools and community centres and events.

Rock Bands

We also offer places in rock bands, so our students can experience the enjoyment of playing together and releasing their inner rock stars! Our bands also perform at community and other events.

Choir

Available to both singing and instrumental students, our choirs are a great way to make music together.

What They’re Saying

Don’t take our word for it, see what our students, parents and affiliates have to say about us.

"My daughter Shenay has been with Mini Mozarts School of Music since 2011, when she began learning piano there at the age of seven. Shenay then discovered the guitar and her passion for singing and songwriting. Watching Shenay find her passion for her music has been amazing, and being at the right place with the right teachers to nurture and develop her has been the greatest gift. Josephine and her exceptional team of teachers all work together to bring the best out in Shenay.

Together with Josephine and her teachers, we put a plan in place and set goals for Shenay to achieve the exam results she needed to give her a chance to get into a High School that we weren’t zoned for. Shenay excelled and continues to excel in all of her exams. Last year Josephine wrote a letter of recommendation to University High School, the only school Shenay wanted to go to, and we were so proud when she was accepted there.

As a parent, I cannot express how grateful I am to Josephine and all of Shenay’s teachers at Mini Mozarts. This music school has set the foundations for her to be where she is today and, most importantly, where she is heading in the future."

Ayshen Ibrahim

"We have had an excellent six years with Mini Mozarts School of Music, encompassing three children and four instruments. Mini Mozarts and their dedicated and inspirational teachers have worked with us to accommodate changes in schedules, tastes in music and generally busy lives.
Josephine has always been fabulous to us and is a wonderful mentor to our children. We have been, and continue to be, very happy with Mini Mozarts."

Jane and Anthony Carbone

"As a pre-schooler, my daughter developed an interest in music and we were searching for a music school that would nurture her love of music. Fortunately, we found Mini Mozarts School of Music and following a trial lesson, my daughter began weekly lessons. Eight years later, she is still studying music at Mini Mozarts. Now at the age of 13, she is preparing for her upcoming AMEB Grade 6 piano examination.

Mini Mozarts School of Music provides a nurturing environment that enables their students to collaborate with the dedicated staff, to set achievable goals and to learn at their own pace. The students are offered a number of wonderful experiences, whether it be playing a grand piano at the Deakin Edge or busking along Ascot Vale’s Union Road. Under the oversight of Josephine, Mini Mozarts School of Music provides students with a very professional and positive learning environment."

Doris Piscopo

"Thank you to Mini Mozarts School of Music. My time at Mini Mozarts was amazing and I am grateful I had the opportunity to be taught by such wonderful teachers, who were inspiring, friendly and amazing at what they do. I would highly recommend Mini Mozarts to anyone, as my experience there was extremely memorable."

Anthea (17)

"We have our son attending guitar lessons and our daughter doing piano lessons at Mini Mozarts. They both have learnt so much and thoroughly enjoy their lessons. The teachers are great and make learning fun.
Mini Mozarts provides a high level of tuition and we would recommend it to anyone looking for quality music lessons for their children."
